Relationships get so bananas when you start deciphering the other person’s love language.

Like I thought I was just acquaintances with this person because they never told me details about themselves and we just talked movies and writing . But then they made time to have coffee with me and they showed up out of breath because they ran. Like. RAN to be on time for coffee with me?

And I was like “i don’t mind waiting” cause I never want to run

But they said they wanted every minute they could get because I’m so busy usually

Which is when it clicked that I didn’t get how much they considered me a friend because I just straight away didn’t see MY signs of affection in them and went “cool! Casual buds it is.” But now that I’m seeing their signs of affection, I feel a little silly for dismissing them like that even though I felt like we could be best bros.

Anyway, some people show affection through time or intensity or commitment and not vocally. I really have to remember that!

Good afternoon! It’s that time of year again! I’m really excited for the birthday drive this year as we will be incorporating a fan works auction!  As we have done in previous years, the donations will be for @switchboardlgbt who do amazing work for the LGBT+ community!

So some basics:

The fundraising page is live.  You do not need to participate in the fan works auction to donate.  Please feel free to share the link. 

If you would like to participate in the fan works auction:

1. Send an email to mgbdaydrive at gmail dot com.

2. Specify if it is fanfic or art that you’d like to donate

3. Give a brief description (like a series of 5 drabbles; a piece of fan art that’s customisable; a fan work of x number of words in length.  Please also state the pairing or fandom (Mystrade, generic Sherlock, TLoG, etc).

4. You can also offer physical items such as scarves/pillows/etc.

Hopefully once I’ve ascertained everyone’s interest I’ll have been able to rope in some assistance in getting up an actual auction page! [Please message me here or at @antheas-blackberry if you can help with that!]
