I noticed that someone mentioned that Americans don’t use ā€œhard-onā€ā€”that’s not strictly true. I’m a San Francisco Bay Area native in her (late) 30s, and that’s definitely in the lexicon for people in my age group and geographic area. So it’s not unlikely for it to appear in a Symbrock fic.

After all the fun of Biscuitgate, we seem to be kicking off with Bonergate (i.e., what is the normal American term for what we Brits would sensibly call a pocket rocket).Ā

I have a vested interest here because in my Symbrock fiction, Eddie will be having a lot of them. He’s from New York, living in San Francisco, late thirties – so thanks to this secret person (thank you, secret person!Ā ā¤ļø) I’m now leaning back towards my initial choice of hard-on.

With a suspicion I’m opening Pandora’s Box here, can all helpful and willing Americans please now scream at me what you would casually call the engorgement of a phallus. Thank you.

“we Brits”… pocket rocket???? What?

White

ā€œCome on. Back to your room. You don’t want everyone to see your skinny white legs,ā€ Sherlock teased his brother.

This takes place in the end of ā€˜The Final Problem’ after Sherlock asked Greg to take care of Mycroft.
It’s the morning after Musgrave and Lestrade had to bring the older Holmes to a hospital when he was sick again on the way home.
Of course Mycroft is not happy about it and tries to sneak out. Luckily, Sherlock and John arrive in time to prevent it.
Mycroft is white as a sheet and the white hospital gown as well as the bright neon lights add to that.

There will be a short story for this later.

Prompt for ā€˜SherlockChallenge’ for November: White.

Oh. The compassion on Sherlock’s face…

Calendar AnnouncementĀ ā¤ļø

mystrade-advent-calendar:

Hey, folks. We have three days until the calendar would be due to start, which means this is probably the best time to make this call. We’ve held on in case there was a sudden rush of submissions, but it’s looking like the calendar is going to take a hiatus for 2018.Ā

We’ve fallen too far short of the necessary 24 submissions to feel safe going ahead. If we only needed a couple more pieces of content, we’d make a push and get those slots filled – but as it is, fewer than half the days have guaranteed content.

This means we’d run the risk of sad empty days with nothing to post (possibly a lot of them) or our organiser having a very stressful December struggling to fill thirteen slots at the last minute. It’s likely the calendar would collapse halfway the month – which would be far too tragic for Christmas.

We’re sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to the calendar. As a silver lining, it means our Mystrade content creators don’t have to worry about deadlines or calendar slots anymore. Everyone will be free to post their content whenever, and we can still enjoy plenty of gorgeous Mystrade fics and art.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all our participants and followers for your support, especially to those who submitted content.Ā ā¤ļø
